Why SEO takes Time
Why SEO Takes Time and Why You Should Wait
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization (affordable search engine placement services), is the delicate combination of science and art that Internet specialists use to market your web site and cause it to rank well within the search engines, principally Google.com. It is both an art and a science, because while there are many known factors, ultimately there is still some magic involved as well because no one really knows the exact formula that the major search engines use to rank your site. Therein lies the challenge of the SEO expert. He must be very in tune with the Internet marketplace and very attentive to changes that are occurring.
Top rankings normally will take several months to achieve depending upon the keyword phrase that is being targeted and the amount and quality of competition that that keyword phrase has. There are a variety of reasons why it takes so long. First of all, keep in mind that fundamentally SEO is "manipulation" of the search engine. SEO seeks to "inflate" the sites value and coerce Google into giving you good placements. All of that while not being detected. So there is a delicate line that must not be crossed. The true goal of an SEO expert is to unobtrusively manipulate the search engine but in a manner in which it is unaware that it is being manipulated.
The goal of the search engine is to give the user the best result and so they look at various factors to make that determination. But ultimately they don't want to be "tricked" and so the work than an SEO company provides, must be done in a manner than appears "natural" to Google. While it is surely your goal to rapidly climb to the top that just is not likely. If you get too aggressive with SEO, the link building activities will not look natural to Google and they will likely red flag your site and penalize you. These penalties can be minor, or severe. Some have come back into the rankings in a matter of days others have remained out of the rankings for three or four months and in some cases the sites are permanently banned from the Google Index. So the bottom line is that you should leave SEO in the hands of the pros and give them the time they need to help you achieve your goals.
